Community Economic Development Helps to Create Sustainable Cities!

You are invited to join Thrive as we examine how everyone can contribute locally to creating ‘Eco-Equity.’ Join speakers Michael Walters from the Greater Edmonton Alliance and Noel Keough from the University of Calgary as they discuss creating economic opportunities through local environmental action. ‘Eco-Equity’ will explore the impact of environmental issues on poverty in our community.

Key questions to examine include:

  • What is the role of energy efficiency in reducing poverty?
  • How can we ensure that the benefits of the green economy are available to everyone?
  • Is it possible for a sustainable lifestyle to also be affordable?

Other potential panelists include representatives from Enmax and Pembina Institute.
