Connection Tour Kicks Off at U of A: Join Us for “Co-ops in the Modern Economy”

This spring, we’re hitting the road.

ACCA is launching the Co-op Connection Tour—a province-wide initiative to celebrate, connect, and strengthen Alberta’s co-operative sector through in-person events in communities across the province.

And what better way to kick off the tour than by joining a robust conversation already underway?

First Stop - the University of Alberta

We’re proud to mark the first stop of the tour at an in-person workshop hosted by Dr. Dan Yu from the University of Alberta, bringing together researchers, practitioners, and community leaders for a day of dialogue and insight.

Co-operatives in the Modern Economy: Challenges and Potential Solutions

Tuesday, May 20, 2025 | University Club, University of Alberta (Winspear Room)

This day-long event offers a rare opportunity to engage with both the academic and practical sides of co-operatives. Whether you’re deep in the work or new to the model, you’ll find ideas worth exploring and voices worth hearing.

Alberta Co-operatives: This is your first call to connect. Meet us in Edmonton for the opening leg of the Co-op Connection Tour. Whether you’re attending to learn, contribute, or build new relationships, your presence matters. Look for our table and say hello.

What’s Next?

After May 20, the Co-op Connection Tour will continue across Alberta—stopping in communities large and small to spotlight co-op solutions, share stories, and build momentum for a thriving sector.
Interested in hosting a stop on the tour? We’re looking for co-operatives, economic developers, and community champions who want to help us bring people together and spark new connections. Reach out to execdir@accca.coop —we’d love to collaborate.
