What do Canadians think of Co-operatives?" featuring Charlie Graves

  • Alberta Community and Co-operative Association PO Box 36575 Edmonton, Alberta Canada (map)

For nearly a decade, Canadian co-operative leaders have consistently identified one of the movement’s greatest challenges: a lack of public awareness and understanding of the co-operative business model.

At the same time, a national poll commissioned by the Canadian Centre for the Study of Co-operatives and the CRS Chair in Co-operative Governance, conducted by Modus Research, suggests that the word co-operative evokes positive feelings among Canadians.

In this timely webinar, Charlie Graves, President of Modus Research, will share key findings from the survey, including insights into:

  • Awareness of co-operatives and the co-operative model

  • Public perceptions of co-operatives, including top-of-mind views and how co-operatives compare with other business models

  • Participation in co-operatives, including what drives involvement and willingness to start a new co-operative

  • Facts and messages that could strengthen public support for co-operatives

  • Regional perspectives on sentiment toward co-operatives across Canada

  • And more
